Only what the website needs.
No advertising or analytics cookies.
The public marketing pages serve fonts, images and videos directly from Halden. They do not load third-party advertising or analytics scripts. There is no tracking-cookie consent banner because those cookies are not used.
Browsing and watching the films.
Product pages, solution pages and the contact forms do not need sign-in cookies. Video playback, volume and caption controls operate within the player. We do not use them to create an advertising profile or track you across websites.
Your browser may cache files to load the site faster. Normal HTTP caching is distinct from a tracking cookie. External references are ordinary links; opening them takes you to the other organisation’s website and its policies.
Remembering your own server address.
When you use the “Your own server” form on the sign-in page, your browser saves the server address under the local-storage key halden.server. It helps prefill the address on your next visit. The marketing website does not collect your bank-server password.
This preference stays in the browser until you clear site data or replace the address. You can remove it in your browser’s site-storage settings. Blocking local storage still allows you to type the server address manually.
Necessary session cookies.
Signing in to the hosted bank console sets __Secure-halden_bank for the /console path. Staff sign-in sets __Secure-halden_staff for /staff. These identify the server-side session; they do not contain your password.
Both cookies use Secure, HttpOnly and SameSite=Strict protections. Sessions expire after eight hours and the cookie is cleared on sign-out. Blocking these necessary cookies prevents the corresponding console from maintaining a signed-in session. A bank-hosted deployment may have its own storage policy.
Control browser storage.
You can inspect, delete or block cookies and local storage in your browser settings. Removing session cookies signs you out; removing the saved address clears that preference.
